Look what I found when I was visiting thrift stores this weekend

*Parked in one of the thrift store parking lots*

It's a 1983 Dodge (318), and get this, 16,000 plus original miles (or so the sign claims). I find the mileage hard to believe, but could be true I guess.

Over all, the van's exterior looked to be in excellent shape (considering age) and it does seem to be the original paint (but really don't know that).

I wasn't able to open it up and look inside (the thrift store doesn't actually own it, or have he keys, just allowed owner to park it there), but from peeking in the window I was able to tell the the interior was in really good shape (although aged back to the 80's).

I don't care much for the A/C unit sticking out the back, looks kinda cheesy, MO.

Anyway folks....she can be yours for $5,000..... I'm thinking that's a little high - but I guess if I had the chance to drive her, and got the full and factual scoop.... she could be well worth it.

What Ya'll Think!

Edit: Loving the Dual rear tires also.

Looks good to me
I've got an 83 dodge campervan & I absolutely adore it

5k? maybe im just a cheapskate

5k is a lot, but if it only has 16,000 miles on it, & has been kept in good condition, it's worth it (that's what I paid for my vehicle, & I don't regret it in the least. We've put an extra 2k on it, just to fix up a few little things, & it's in amazing shape now. it'll last forever at the rate it's going XD)

Looks really clean and cared for. Normally you'd expect the odometer to have flipped at least once with it showing that low mileage but some RV's are only used on weekends or just for vacations. I think that would be more true of Class C's and A's though. It's a little overpriced but I bet they get close to it.

Duallies are unusual on this size van...I wonder if it has one of those fake kits?

older rigs with few miles on them like that scare me. The potential for fluid leaks & rotten seals is enormous.
It's nice though!

gus
