Anyone know how the way it works from a "big picture" POV differs from Highlander (Prius) ?

As a take-along dinghy vehicle I think the Highlander's better off-road performance would outweigh the greater space of a minivan

The generator/battery storage/ Aircon functionality is critical for me, more so than its usage as a vehicle.

My impression was this was a first look, hence the title.

In that world more than a week is long term.

And lifespan maybe 5-8 years and at most 200K, so obviously not of interest to the dominant wrenchers here.

New tech cost more when it is new. A lot of us here try to not spend a lot of money on something new but wait till it becomes cheaper because it has problems we can repair for little money. Who knows what will have to fix when we get one in the future or if it will be repairable money wise, s cost per mile becomes known.

I like it. It is a plug-in hybrid and can run on battery power alone for 33 miles. But I am hoping Toyota will offer this technology on the next gen Sienna as I'd much rather have a Toyota than a FCA.
