The farmer's markets around here are about to close up for the season. I can go down and get a weeks worth of vegetables for about $15. Talk about healthy and cheap food!

I was thinking of farmer's markets being one of my main food sources on the road. In warmer climates, the season would be longer to boot. Dry goods and some meat at the grocery store, and fruits and vegetables at the farmer's markets. I don't eat dairy really, so I think just my Yeti would be fine for that type of eating.

Anyone else go to the various farmer's markets in their travels?

If you're in the Atlanta area, this is a good place.
It's set up kinda like a warehouse grocery store, but it's fresh, cheap, and always there. Produce is cheap, meat is fresh but average price.

Also they grind their own spices there. Fresh and cheap! We get just about all of our spices there.
