EZ up brand has these from simple at 29lbs for a 10 X 10 and up. I have a 10 x 10 bought at pep boys many years ago for $89.00, Been very pleased with it and it's defiantly easy for one person to setup and take down. The top is still in very good condition, no rips or tears after all these years out in the blazing sun. I'd guess mine in the bag which has wheels is about 30Lbs.

No staking for us but then again we don't use it in winds over 8 to 10 mph.

YMMV

Was at the Texas coast and used my brother's 10 x 10 easy up canopy.  Before ever leaving the house I opened it up.  Of course beach sand and a little salt corrosion was preventing the legs from opening correctly.  A good spray inside the legs, a touch of sanding, followed by drying and then a good spray of lube made opening at the beach a breeze.  Back at the house another hosing, followed by drying and then more spray lube as thanks for letting me use it.

I can safely say I can no longer hang out at the beach without a canopy.  It's just too hot for this getting-old body.

It better be tied down well or it will sail like a kite.  Tied twice as many strong lines as what came with it.  I used their wimpy tent stakes and sand bags buried in more sand.  I took a smaller tarp to clamp on the sunniest side.  Made an excellent shady spot from which to watch the world go by.

The two tricks for the ez up types are to get a vented top, and to anchor all legs securely.

I do wish mine had the vented top. it does get a tad warm right under the canopy.

We use to rent out " Flea Market Style Party Canopies " from 20 X 20 up to 30 X 60 , when we sold them off , we kept enough 1 5/8 in. fittings , pipes and stakes to build several sizes , and usually carry a 12 X 20 with us . Using Schedule 40 pipes it takes a lot of wind to affect it .
You just need the room for the main 1 5/8 fence tubing ( 6 @ 118 in. and the 12 smaller pipes )

I don't believe the vented tops help with the heat, just with the wind....

We found when doing a flea market on Cape Cod that using a silver canopy instead of a white canopy , that it was all ways cooler by 20 degrees or more under the silver one .
Dogs would just lay down by our table and refuse to budge . LOL

I use both the swap meet type and the e-z ups, I also use vehicle based tarps. number one thing they must be secured if you are in a windy area. once when we were in the Oregon outback we had my truck tarp up. I stake the poles down with two guy wires and stakes. one stake I could not get into the ground no matter where I put it just kept hitting the lava I thought it was bedrock, so I took my dewalt drill and hammer drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the lava. good to go nothing was going to pull that stake out. well at that end of the day a dust devil came right though camp that stake didn't come out but it took that piece of lava approximately 4'x4'x6" thick, picked it up right out of the ground, I swear I could see under it all the way though and set it back down. we sat there and looked at each other in bewilderment, I got up and readjusted they guy rope and sat back down, still finding it hard to believe what we just saw. highdesertranger

I have a 15 year old EZ-UP. I used to use it twice a month, once at the lake, and once at rocket launches. Everyone in the club tried the cheap ones (I even got one for the canopy part) but none hold up over time like an EZ-UP. It is an older one without the silver underside, which helps a lot. The Cheap HF one I got for $39 on sale lasted about 10 uses with several repairs. I now use it's canopy for my old EZ-UP frame.

More metal, especially at the cross points makes them last.

Worth every penny.

The Port-a-shades come in at a close second.

You use the cheap HF canopy on your old EZ UP. Why would you have to do that if EZ UP was so durable?

The frame is durable, and the canopy still is in one piece, but it has rips and tears from use and storage. I also wanted the silver/foil lining.

No nylon lasts forever.

15 years of constant use in the Arizona sun...
