I'm in Las Vegas visiting some of my family. After crashing with them for a night, and the awkwardness that involves, I splurged on a hotel room on the Strip. (Last minute booking, very good price.) Since my van and solar panel are higher than the 7-foot clearance of the parking garage, they had me park in the free, uncovered "overflow" lot. Excellent.
Looking out my hotel window, I realized that since this is a 24/7/365 city, there's nothing unusual about vehicles in parking lots at night, or people coming and going at all hours. If you can stand city noises, then there are plenty of places on or off the Strip to park overnight.
