My state (Washington) offers my partner free camping in our state parks because he is a combat disabled vet. Oregon offers the same free camping in state parks. Looks like Federal parks are 1/2 camping site fees. We looked in to California, because that is where we want to head to this winter, and they do not offer a discount for vets who are not residents. Do any other states offer free or discount camping fees for Disabled or Veterans? Thanks

Get your gold pass from the national park service.....this will cover all NF..COE and federal parks with a substantial discount.....state parks vary

I just picked up a Nevada State Park Pass. $30 good for 1 year. Look at the state webpage. 10% disability from VA is all you need or age 65 and a resident. One night is $17 at the park stayed at so I saved money just on the one weekend and NV parks all seem to be very well cared for and run. . :).
