When I bought my RV last fall the person who sold it to me included a gallon of Dicor rubber roof "paint" and several tubes of Dicor lap sealant to be used with a caulking gun.  These items have been in the shed all winter where it had gotten down to -10F at times. Are they still going to work well provided I don't try to apply them until temperatures are in the 60s consistently, or are they ruined after exposure to very low temps even if never opened?? What sort of shelf life do these products have in general?
Thanks so much for all the help so far.
:shy:

call or email Dicor. I know the lap sealant doesn't have a real long shelf life. best bet is to get it right from the horse's mouth, so to speak. highdesertranger

Thanks:)
Anyone had any experience with this scenario directly?

Go to the manufacture website for the product, that will tell you the shelf life. The date of manufacture is possibly on the label or stamped somewhere on the container.

But as to freezing...most likely it exceeded the limit but that too will be on the website but it should also be stated on the container label.

Is it still viable? Open it up take some out and do a test on some surface other than your RV.

UPDATE: Contacted Dicor directly.. they told me the lap sealant will be fine since its solvent based, but the gallon item is most likely destroyed because its acrylic based.

did they give you a life span for unopened lap sealant? oh thanks for the follow up. highdesertranger

I didn't ask that as it appears to be newer.. last year? I'll report back after trying it if winter ever ends here.. Just had 10 inches of snow on Sunday :dodgy:
