Covid 19 5 years later DW News

I was listening to Deutsche Welle News (German News Agency) where they reported that The Bundesnachrichtendienst (BDN German Intelligence Agency for short) KNEW in 2020 that the virus was from a leaked event from a Chinese Laboratory. That it was not from an animal market where live animals were purchased for food as was originally reported.

This report on youtube covers what has happened since and the mistakes that were made to learn from those times. It could better prepare us in the event of future such disasters. This report (13 minutes) is extensive covering several facets of the problem.

They reported that it's disputed, and will be for a long time. And that US politicians say "lab" but virologists say "natural".

They didn't offer the German intel agency's evidence.

I agree. I've checked this out and the numbers are all over the place. I don't know where DW got those stats but I can't find a 37M from WHO, NIH, NCID, CDC, Lancet, and so on.

It could better prepare us in the event of future such disasters.

Our HC system was an utter disaster way before that. Our 2019 life expectancy was no better than 2010, and even by 2023 we've yet to reach the 2010 level.

It is way past time for improvement as the “greatest country” in the world lags behind many other countries in health and health care management. Covid 19 should have made it apparent how important a national health care system is.

I emailed Deutsche Welle and asked where they found that 37M deaths figure. Received a message from them acknowledging my query with a list of links to further pursue the 37M mortality question. I'll get to that later tonight when I get home.
