I am thinking about getting on the coroplast bandwagon and making a shower for my ambulance. A three wall folding setup that could fold out of the way when not in use. I am not sure how many times you can bend it before it breaks? Any thoughts?

outwater.com has lots of neat stuff including plastic hinges.

clear flat hinges http://www.outwatercatalogs.com/lg_...aster_Catalog_Vol_42/page/104/highlight/hinge

Use a glue made for plastic and glue together. They do have a minimum order and some things have a cut charge. I love their catalog. This is the outfit that I am getting our sliding door track and the binning strips for the drawers & roll out trays from.

I've got a piece of coroplast stuck to the outside of my camper, covering the 120v connector, which I've sliced through 1 layer to make more flexible. Drove all over (highway too) with it flapping in the wind many thousands of times and.. still gud. ..Willy.

Hey Baloo...

go down to your local signguy, and see if he's got any scraps of coroplast he'd be willing to throw at ya.

Tell him what you wanna do with it, and he may even come up with a few good suggestions to help you out.

Signshops use the crap outta this stuff durring elections, and oftentimes, they'll get a bunch of 'em back, and they'll strip off the old stuff and re-use 'em over again

btw...You could use zip-ties on the corners as hinges!
(that's my signguy helpful hint of the day!!) :D

Pat, great idea, I will check out the local sign shop (Signs Now). Hopefully once I get a piece to play with my imagination will get to work!

I've worked with coroplast before. Bought some ( came in 4x8) to make a fairing on a recumbent bicycle. Had to buy several sheets and used some of the leftovers to make a clothing storage (think milk crates on their sides tied together).

The sheets have a rib running the length between the layers. Cut halfway through to make a hinge for the corner.

Many ways to attach the edges: gluegun, tuct tape, zipties.

Most likely the edges can be overlapped like roof shingles to keep water from splashing out of the shower.

I've been thinking of how to build a shower between the rear doors of my future van.

Thanks for the inspiration.
