Controlling unwanted insects coming into van window

I noticed unwanted insects are getting into the van. Most noticeably spiders. I left my window open during the night for many days. I didn't use the Skeeter Beater magnetic windshield protector. I guess the only way to combat this is to vacuum the van's interior on a regular basis.

Last spider bite was not pleasant. It blown up into a big pus. But some areas they'll get in.

Any tips to deal with these potentially hazardous creatures?

Definitely get some "sticky" traps as they cheap and do a fair job. In our neighborhood, we have had an explosion of spiders. Nothing works that well for us. Discouraging the insects they eat helps, always shake out your shoes and clothes before putting them on and fill every crevice where they might get in. Both myself and one of my dogs were bitten on a camping trip last summer.

Easily hand made with some screen and using 1/2" plywood, sandwiched the screen in between, so can disassemble them and replace the screen if it's damaged. Friction fit on the sides and top, and a dado on the bottom edge accepts the window to snug them up.

There's also some screens he built for the rear that look amazing. I want to implement his ideas and remove the skeeter beaters from the equation eventually, having them inside with the snaps makes this much more stealthy for the front windows.

My MacGirlver-Wife velcro'd no-see-um on the inside of the driver window and we roll the windows up to ~2" from top so the WeatherTech window guards do their thing keeping the rain out.
We will be switching over to utilizing screw-in-snaps next season on the screen.

Make sure you get the no-see-em screen version. Those bugs can get through very small openings.
