Been doing good. Im not around free wifi long enough to come write up a post here, just stop check out stuff in the area and move on.

Since my first posts when I was still gathering info, I did put a cap on my Tacoma and build a bed frame in the back.

The rig and supplies are:

'97 Tacoma 2.7 4cyl
4x4, 18 mpg

73" bed
2.5" foam mattress
10" clearance for underbed storage with slide out for easy access that doubles as a table/ workbench. Underneath is food, junk drawyer, tent, chair, tools.

I can bend my knees in bed without hitting the ceiling and can turn around in bed, Im 6'2" so its pretty decent.

On the side storage Ive got, a propane grill, propane space heater, 9x9 instant canopy when combined with my tarp and placed over the back of the truck makes a great additional room. I also have a coleman 1 burner for boiling water. Small cooler. Camp chairs.

Also rigged up some hanging storage out of one of those trunk cargo nets. Used a ratcheting bar and a extendable clothes bar to hang stuff, bungie cords between to hang "curtains."

All together its packed like a cube but everything is accessible in its own without having to dissasemble. On good nights I slide the bed out onto the tailgate and look at the stars.

The 4cyl with the gear weight and big tires (33") has to work on the long grades, had to drop down to 2nd in UT, but im getting used to it and 3rd gear gets me up just fine around most the country.
