There will be a lot going on in the night sky, including a pass by the green comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková

Just a reminder.  The final event is a green comet before dawn.

I wish I was in Ehrenberg for this one.

The comet cannot be seen by the naked eye, nor with binoculars, I'm afraid! I read all about it cuz I'm a stargazer!!! The moon was absolutely stunning this morning as I drove home from work... I'll take the eclipse and be happy this year!!

Just might with the right ones, if you know where to look. Even then it would not be much. The best view would be through a large telescope.  For those that do not want to get up at 4 AM to search for it in our light poluted sky, I found this.

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!!!

I think the movie was so bad they banished it to roam the cosmos.....just a faint green glow.

Oh, I'm excited... I'm saving it all up for one big blow-out... TBD ... sometime in the future!  Watch the skies!

Well, I was getting a LITTLE excited.  I'm sitting here about a mile north of the Mexican border, about 2 miles West of the Q Casino.

Nothing between me and the border, was hoping to walk out tonight to see a comet and eclipse.  No matter, watching the full moon is plenty entertainment.

I often wake up really early.  It gives me plenty of opportunity to walk around in the desert at night .  I've really enjoyed this full moon .

Interesting life, this.

Any info on what makes that comet glow green? Some trace element in the ice, I would guess.

Kryptonite!

Pretty cloudy here now and its supposed to stay mostly cloudy tonight, boo. But the big ass moon has been great the past few nights.

Where you @ Lee? Iffin' you don't mind?

I took several video clips of the moon tonight at various times that it was supposed to be occurring.  Edited it down to 0:58 seconds.  Didn't see an eclipse but got great video

Well; .. you just KNOW the only reason why the eclipse will seem unspectacular, and the comet only being able to be seen with a large telescope is because big brother and his weather/mind control satellites are programmed to obscure visibility so the general population doesn't realize one of the motherships is currently orbiting while their delegations decide on the colonization and further enslavement procedures. ---  :D :D :D

I have my Slim Pickins recordings, and am not afrade to use them!
