Hi All,

Does anybody have any suggestions on products to use to clean the grit and grime out of my van before I start insulating and building-out the inside?  The van I purchased was a work van, so there is lots of dust, grit, grime, and such coating the inside.  I figured I'd use some Speedball and a nylon scrubber to loosen up some of the mess, but I know it'll take me forever to do by hand.  Just wondering if anybody has come up with a better way that I'm not thinking of.

Thanks!

C.

Well, if the back is completely empty, mask off the driver area with some plastic sheeting, and then use a high pressure washer, or better yet a steam cleaner to get the loose/grimy/oily stuff loose. Then scrub with an industrial strength harsh detergent/grease cutter. Then respray again.

If there is loose paint in the cargo area this treatment might loosen it so be ready to spray some primer in any areas not covered with paint.

Simple Green does wonders. 409 works well also.
