Im glad for you, I still remember my first classB, 22 years ago. My present mhome has some of the 12 volt interior lights, hooked up to the starting battery. Factory done, I have no idea why ?

Great for you, you will have loads of fun!
-AK

Cool! photos! An Intervec Falcon, just a few years older than ours! You'll love it. They're very popular Bs.

There's a user group based out of Elkhart Ind, where the unit was built. They're a great source for any specific questions you may have. Google Intervec (international vehicles) Falcon and you'll find a lot of info.

Thanks for the recommendation about the user group, Seraphim. I'll go check that out right now.

Congrats!! I've been looking into Class B's myself. I'll be interested to see how the battery mystery gets solved. It does sound like something is running off the starting battery overnight.

Nice find and it does look 2b in great shape for 24 years old. Have fun!
hmmmm...i just drove my rv on the highway and with wind gusts up to 23 mph it was wobbling all over the road. it was kinda scary. is this normal for driving an rv? is there some way to overcome this? i was only able to go 40 to 50 mph in a 65 mph zone.

You might need to consider an anti-sway package, but first check weight distribution and make sure you aren't overloaded, tire inflation, shock absorbers, etc. My RV has no trouble doing 60 on the flat, but can struggle up some hills at 35.

thanks for the info blars. i will look into those suggested solutions.

I drove the RV again today for about an hour and it didn't sway nearly as much. I attribute this to two things: much less wind and I did better at anticipating curves and slowing down a bit prior to entering the curves. I also realized that there is no water in any of the tanks and the house battery has been removed. This makes the entire unit list to the right. You can even see it tilting to the right, when you lok at it from behind.

Gusting winds can have a strong effect on our high tops - kind of like a sailboat. Just slow down in those conditions., like you said. Sway bars won't much help, I think, for the wind pushing from the side: it's going to make you drift to the side. Unit shouldn't list due to lack of water or house battery. Have your suspension checked.

OK, Seraphim. I will have the suspension checked. Thanks so much for everyone's helpful advice.

I still haven't had any work done on my RV, because I'm waiting to spend any more money on it, until after my house sells.

However, I found another problem with it when I was driving it the other day. The air conditioner in the cab blows air, but it's not cold air. On a vehicle this old, does anyone have an idea what it might cost to fix this or whether it can even be fixed at all?
