Hey all,

I'm interested and curious in anyones advice / information they'd be willing to share here about their experience of dealing with the rear passenger airbags. Have you built around them or did you find a way of removing them? I currently own a 2008 Chevy Express and have it completely gutted. The idea I had in mind for my built wasn't with the intention of the curtain like airbags being in the way. I've wide and closeup pictures to give you an example of what they look like. I'm not reaching out to Chevy owners in particular and am open to any feedback. What is the risk factor of removing these rear curtains without engaging or corrupting the airbag system to a point where none of it works?

Thank you to all who have the time reading this post and willing to help out.

Happy travels!

I just reread the thread that I linked to above and your question was not answered in that thread.  So sorry.  My airbags have been removed for almost two years with zero errors with the new simulators.  I suspect the only reason I had a problem with the first set of simulators is from a poor electrical connection and not properly secured.  The simulators are only small ohm resistors.  Hope this helps.

ValerieP has the same simulators as I.
