i read somewhere not to use one if you’re city stealth living. People dont use them here but it’s also warm all year and they are outside with bikes and other toys. It would give my CRV a lot of extra space. It’s a very nice area and I don’t want to stand out. Any thoughts? The Honda brand is the best but really expensive.

A million times smarter to have the extra space and just park where you're allowed. Illegal parking and leaving trash around is the number 1 detriment to our lifestyle.

I called the sheriff and explained my situation and they offered me to sleep in their parking lot. LOL

Houses and condos range from $900,000 to $20 million and I grew up here so I know every hidden corner and my car is newer, clean and neat so I don’t think I’m going to be in any trouble. I’ve never left trash anywhere so not sure where that came from.

As far as illegal parking it is illegal to park on our suburban streets at night yet any given night there are five or six cars parked here. All neighbors who can’t fit into their driveways or garages. Once a year they ticket.

Neighboring cities and industrial areas have giant filthy old RVs parked and they are left alone. What they are cracking down on are tent dwellers who sadly tend to be mentally ill.

Theyre left alone because the police know what theyre doing. When people try to sneak around, especially in unmarked vans, parked in front of random houses, guess who is suspicious and who is going to get a knock?

I think a cargo box says, "There's stuff in here to steal."

Go with whatever vehicle you can source insurance coverage on. Stay away from anything that has a commercial rating.

Most of them got left on the road where the broke down! LOL!!!

they should have been called yunogo. that reminds me of when GM tried to market the Nova in Mexico, No Va in Spanish means, she doesn't go. not a big seller for GM, the funny part is they didn't figure it out for awhile. highdesertranger

My reply:
Now THAT is truly funny, especially considering GM didn't realize this. I had a '73 with the 350 engine. It was a dawg.
I hear their Chevette was pretty popular down there long after it was discontinued here. I had an '84 that I loved dearly, but guys kept running into or over me while driving it. Once everywhere, you can't find one of these anywhere now. Darn shame, in my opinion, as I spent a better part of a year camped out of the back end of that little box.

I think it depends on where you live. They are common in Denver, where everyone is hauling their ski's and snowboards up to the snow in the winter.
