Camping permit?

Does anyone know where you pick up a dispersed BLM camping permit in Quartzite? Is it at the LaPosa LTVA welcome center?

There is a spot by Dome Rock to get one, and another spot by Scadden Wash. They are given out by BLM camp hosts. You look for the sign. Off of Kuehn street.

it depends on where you plan on camping. RTR will have their own you get them there. there is a camp host at Scaddan wash they take care of the 14 day area around there. there are other host's for other areas, you just need to find them. highdesertranger

How do you find them, it's a big area?

well do you know where you want to camp? most of the time it will be obvious the camp host will be parked on the main road of the area you want to camp in, however most of the time there are many roads in and out of an area. you could always ask people around you. somewhere I have a map that shows the 14 day areas and LTVA's around Quartzsite, but it does not show where the hosts are located. highdesertranger

if you dont see a host with permits as you drive into the camp area, just stop and ask others camping near by.
