I had this info on the thread about Hunting lease property, but out west, it seems there are few hunting leases and more Gun Clubs that have camping.  So I'm starting this on a thread of its own, since it morphed that way:

---------
Here's a Gun Club in Spokane.  It's $65a year and lifetime membership if you are 62 or older is $325.  Camping is FREE if you are a member.  Free lifetime camping after you pay $325 sounds like a great price!   Even if you aren't old enough, $65 is pretty cheap for a year of camping and shooting. Here's the URL:
http://www.spokanegunclub.org/

Gun clubs are everywhere out west.  And you'll have to look at the area you're interested in--some have camping and some don't and the prices vary.  I'd google "gun club" in the area you want to be in.  I love the Spokane club--if I were a westerner and old enough for the lifetime, I'd be all over that.  Free for the rest of your life!  Also, shooting is more interesting to me than hunting.  I love to target shoot, shoot bowling pins and expired soda cans.  LOL

I'm searching now out east.  There are gun clubs in the east.  Here's one in Wisconsin that also has fishing.  Membership is $30 a year and camping is $5 a night, so one month would only be $150 for each month you'd be there.  The nice thing about this one is you can catch your supper as it's a rod and gun club, which might offset the fact that you have to pay $5 a night.  Plus the yearly membership isn't high, just $30.  It's on a lovely lake.  https://westbyrodandgun.com/the-range/

Here's one in Medina, OH.  The initial fee is high $535.  Then annual dues is 160.50.  If you work 8 hours a year (maintenance stuff) you can save some money on that.  Once you're in, camping is free.  So after your initial fees, 160.50 a year for unlimited camping.  http://www.ashlandlakegunclub.org/

Another thing I found out is that some gun clubs have activities, pavilions if you hold a reunion there, potlucks, some had dances!  I mean, it's up to the owner's preference.  I did run into some that were dry only (no drinking), so if that's important to you, be sure to find one that doesn't shun alcohol.  I can see banning it on the range, but banning overall is probably not enforceable.  Likely it's a municipal or county law, not the preference of the owner.

I posted on the other thread about this gun club. read the rules there is a 14 day limit. this is for the Spokane Gun Club. I think if you are going to be posting this info you should be providing a link to the rules. highdesertranger

I provided links to the site, but you must read the rules within the site.  It doesn't say you have to leave after 14 days.  It doesn't say there is a limit.  It says if you are staying more than 14 days, you need to let the administration know, that's it.   I went and found a lot of different ones.  If you are interested, look at the rules for that one.  In fact you need to do your due diligence and check out any place.  And if you call the Spokane club they will tell you that you can indeed stay longer than 14 days.

That's cool.  Where do you find them, just google?  I will definitely be looking at this too.

Bardo, do you think there's a directory online?  That would be awesome.  Although they will probably make fun of my telescope.  It was all I could afford.  I went to an astronomy event before and when I did, I just looked at everyone else's through their expensive set ups.  It was so dang cool.  I'll see what I can find, but if you find it first, please start a thread on it because it's a great idea!

You can stay a full year...although I wouldn't want to in winter.  BUT BUT BUT, this is why I said you have to check it out, your membership allows you to get their good rate.  Dry camping is $5 a day.  Monthly is $50.  Annual is $500.  SO it's not as great of a deal as I thought, but this page breaks down the costs:
http://www.spokanegunclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/RV_Parking_Agreement.pdf

But an annual fee of 500 isn't too bad. That website was a bear to follow through.  It's not as great as I thought but to some it might not be that bad of a deal.  Still you gotta check everything out, including the place to make sure it's something you'd like.

Here are some gun clubs and a VERY SHORT synopsis of each one.  Please do your own due diligence, I'm just providing the website.  This is just a quick overview of some I found and so you can look where you live or where you want to live and see what might work for you.

Waterloo Sportsman's Club in Waterloo, IL
With membership, Camping is $3 a night, 8 if you want electric.  I didn't see the membership cost though, but if you fill out their query form, they'll tell you.

Sandwich Sportsman's Club in Sandwich, IL
I know someone who is a member of this one! Membership is 200 a year, with that you get 5 days of free camping with electric, more than that, you pay $3 a day for the electric.  After 14 days you have to leave and you can come back and do it all again or just get permission to stay.  Almost never will be turned down for permission if you pay the 3 for electric. Pond fishing, rifle range, shotgun too, pavilions and activities.  Lots to do.

Thurmont Conservation and Sportsman's club, Thurmont, MD
Structure is membership (I didn't see price), $300 for the entire season for camping (includes electric and water), $75 if you want pool access.
The key if this is a good deal is knowing what membership is.  Looks like great fishing!

Manteno Sportsman's Club, Manteno, IL
$250 a year.  Camping is $3 a night.  You get beach swimming, fishing, archery and rifle ranges.  A lot of activities.

Dundee Sportsman's Club, Dundee, MI
$75 a year.  It appears camping is free.  Before you get excited about this one, the membership path is an interesting one.  You earn points over the course of 12 months and you then become a member.  I love this idea.  You might be able to still camp there and do things while you're waiting for your 50 points to add up.  You get points by serving dinners, cooking, doing dishes for events, cleaning the grounds, cutting grass.  It's a really unique thing.  If you're from around there and want to be there, the price is right and they just might want to make sure you care about the place before they let you be a voting member.

Dunkerton Sportsman's Club, Dunkerton, IA
Could not find the price but a form for more info, but it's older and not that big.  Camping is on the grounds and appears to be free.  Some picnic tables.  Shady with places to shoot.  Low amenities might mean low cost.  Only one way to find out is to contact them!

Berrien County Sportsman's Club, Berrien Springs, MI
$150 a year with ability to work to get the next year's rate lowered!  Camping appears to be free and along a river.  Trout fishing! Shooting range.

Lakeside Sportsman's Club, Boulevard, CA
I was all over the website and couldn't find a price but the camping is free with membership.  If you stay more than 14 days, they do want you to get approval to do so.

Oklahoma Sportsman's Hunting Club, Various places throughout OK
Price varies, but this would be the place to start if you like OK.  They have leases and they will all be different.  If interested, I'd call them and see what you can get.

Zelienope-Harmony Sportsman's Club, Zelienople, PA
FREE membership for current military on leave, all others $75 a year which includes all in your family.  Camping is $25 a month!  If you stay all season, it looks like you're assigned a lot for the season.  You can get your own electric hooked up between you and the electric company or use generator or solar. Stocked trout streams, archery, rifle range.

If you google the area you are interested in, you might find exactly what you want.  I found these by googling:  sportsman's club camping.  If you add your state or area you're looking for, you might find some.  Hey there were a few I found and rejected because they were shockingly expensive with fancy lodges and DRESS CODES.  Try to find a club near Boston or Los Angeles and you'll see what I mean.

This is a QUICK overview of what's out there so you can see the variety and prices.
