I've watched a few of his videos and have seen him bring back vintage buses from the grave

WanderingRose said:Our first RV was a 25 year old Barth, and the old engine was not only a money pit but just not very road worthy.
If your plan is to roam, I suggest putting your money into something newer, even if that means sitting still awhile so you can thoroughly explore options.
Where are you in Illinois?
Katt said:North Central, near Bloomington. And yeah, we're pretty much over it at this point. It's expensive, mechanics are squirrely, and our new priority is smaller, simpler and newer.

Always good to make a purchase like this when you are not under time-constraints and pressure
Katt said:I certainly couldn't have made too many worse decisions, haha.
bullfrog said:Sure you can! I'm living proof! I bought an old school bus that nearly killed me getting it home when it lost the brakes going down a mountain bringing it home. I had to put it in a ditch and let the side drag to get it stopped as well as use the rear emergency door to get out, it did make it easy to figure out which windows to remove for the build! LOL!!!

Starting today, you're on a new adventure... So many choices ahead of you -- including a new home on wheels!
I'm rooting for you, as I'm positive everyone following your story is.
I guess I won't be watching more of his videos. Sorry, he seems like an honest enough guy when the camera's rollin'Katt said:I've reached out to him via email and comments on his YT channel and heard nothing. The bus will be scrapped. It is what it is and not much I can do.
