Not sure what the question is? Just like in any context but shorter distance?

The only reasons to go that DCDC route is a pricey target bank not getting well serviced by the existing sources.

One possible cause being too much distance, fat enough wiring being impractical.

Some people think spending hundreds of dollars on wiring is impractical.

But the alternatives may be even more so.

Is my main point.
