Thanks jack, I have stayed in this area, actually more in Magdelena. It is beautiful.&nbsp; Wish I could get out there to the fest.

Yeah, Magdalena's good.&nbsp; I lived in Socorro a few years and always enjoyed the festival, the wildlife refuges along that part of the Rio Grande.&nbsp; When the migrations are happening it doesn't get much better than that area.

been a part time birder for 40 years. It is a great hobby and accepted now in public. Hope everyone saw THE BIG YEAR with Jack Black and Steve Marten. It was a great movie and nearly accurate.
