I am fairly new to this sight with just a couple of posts. But I would like to thank everyone. This is by far the best place for answers, needs, questions, and good ole fun. I posted a question on another RV sight thinking that since they were a little more large rv savey, they would answer not so.
The question If I have a rear ranch bumper that I wanted to put on my truck, should I reconsider do to adding extra weight? I receved one reply of " if it is spec of the weight put it on." I assume they dont try to go out into the dirt roads and deep forests. Yes I now Im answering my own question. But this process of of putting the rope between me and society is quite the process and sometimes you just got to hear it from someone like yourself.
So again I want to thank every one on here for just being your real selfs. I have read some posts that have left people vulnurable to bad talk and this sight is by far the most respectfull and loving.

Nice of you to say so, missnout.

I hope you find great answers to all of your questions here.

Actually , I'm pretty sure you will.

From what I have seen in my short time here, everybody seems willing and happy to help out.

Yes!
I recently joined another group, and wanted to know some stuff about living in a van. The moderator keeps shoving stuff on me that I need a class C or A, because of all the modern luxuries right inside (as opposed to showering in a gym, laundromats for clothes, etc.).
I realize I'm a disabled girl, but I kept telling him I don't mind living simply. Washing clothes in a 5 gallon bucket and a plunger, or taking sponge baths 6 days a week is NO problem for me!
If I ask you guys a question, you stick to it and give me advice about what I want... not try to force me into other options that I don't want/need or even can have if I wanted it anyway.

My main issue is that when my dad dies, I MIGHT get $10,000 max... no way I can get a nicer motorhome and buy a solar kit to install, get it insured, inspections/registration, etc. etc. on such a tight budget. I was planning on a simple van for $8,000 max, and using the $2,000 for the rest - if I can do it right, I hope.

Vivid-Dawn, you're at the right place because many of us here are on tight budgets and quite a few are dealing with a disability of some kind.

I believe the best times of your life are ahead and we want to help you find out out how and grab them.

Hi Dawn! It would be wonderful if you started your own thread. You can get a really decent vehicle for way less that 8 or 10 grand. It may take awhile to find... but they're out there.

Welcome to the best place to get help making your dreams come true.
I bought my first class A for $6500
The class C I have now cost me $1100
I bought my first pickup for $600 and built a wonderful camper on it for $400.
You should be able to find a decent van-etc and fix it up to live in for way less than
your budget of $10,000 .
Read through the posts here and see what others have done to give you a idea of what you might want to do.
No worries , we got your back.......and you'll find many helpful friends here.
