Hmmm, maybe Ben Lurkin should be my handle...
I'm Karl, 58, just returned to snowy Vermont after a month of strolling the east coast in
Lurch- my new to me 95 Chevy van, made more comfortable with many ideas gleaned from this site or links to it.
Special thanks to Bob for Cheaprvliving-from this site I was inspired to build a camper on my Toyota pu and a teardrop trailer for my son and I to explore South Dakota last spring.. that trip changed both our lives in ways we are thankful for. Many thanks to all the folks who have shared their experiences in articles and now in the forum...I feel more confident in making a lifestyle simplification because of you , there are indeed several I would like to meet one day. Perhaps next winter in Quartzite?

Welcome Karl, we are so glad you are here. I'm always delighted to hear feedback that peoples lives are made better by the site. That makes it all worthwhile! Start planning right now to be out in Quartzsite next year so we can meet face-to-face. I can almost promise you that the weather will be better here than in Vermont. Welcome again! Bob
Welcome!

Love to see new faces, especially being new myself.

I'm from British Columbia, so I likely won't get down to Quartzsite but I'll certainly endeavour to do so!

Hammer

Hi Karl, the Catskill mountains of upstate Ny is where I am . I hear you on the cold , snowy part. I get over to Bennington and the Manchester area a few times a year, so Mabye our paths can cross. Take care, stay warm and drive safe. Welcome.

Welcome Karl, I'm in Arizona now but I plan to go to Vermont during July and August to see the mountains, antiques and history there.

Thanks for the warm welcome all.
I'm not usually too chatty, but sure do enjoy learning and listening.
Working on how to make a living on the road - I've eliminated bank robbery and purse snatching, so I'm narrowing down the options
Anyone needing a place to park on the Canadian border of Vermont for a few days give a shout- might want to wait 'til May though.....
