Free primitive camping managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission can be found in Northwestern Florida near Milton. The Bayside camp offers 8 tent sites on the shore with connecting group and day use area. There is use of a single porta-potty and bear-proof trash cans.

The size of each site was roomy enough to park as needed for rv's smaller than 30'. Moss covered trees provided plenty of shade and added to the beauty this place. Within each site there were picnic tables and a fire ring with a grill plate.

On a personal note, not a good spot for those looking for space or seclusion as the sites are close together and lack in privacy.

Reservation can be made up to 30 days in advance or on-site by calling (850)265-3676
