Well after blabbing about my secret battery source it has all but dried up, my current 5 year old AGm's are failing. my fault no doubt, I will be going down Ca. 99 and turn east on 40. on the look out for some "new" Trojans 2 x 6 volt any suggestions. on where to buy on the road, or just wait to hit Quartzsite I can survive without easy enough . I can buy local at $166 a pop would like to do a little better but not into LA where I found $120 a pop .

Well, can't offer you a specific site, but can suggest that they will probably be cheaper from a golf cart place than from an RV or solar power place.  A question of scale, I think.  Batteries are heavy and cost a lot to ship.  A place that buys a lot of batteries probably gets a truckload at a time, thus the shipping cost per battery is probably a lot cheaper.  A google search on "golf cart batteries southern CA"  turned up a bunch of sites.  You could probably do a similar search for "golf cart batteries AZ".

And of course, the Trojan site has a "find a dealer" function:

Had not considered the Golf Cart dealer angle will keep my eyes open on my way, thanks

CartBarn.com has T105s listed at $148.
Don't know anything about them, but they sound like a nationwide distributor, with "battery pickup" locations in Fresno and Bakersfield.

Try solarbiz.com and check for your closest pick up spot.

Discount Solar in Quartzite is less than that, I think $125 but I'm not sure. Also, there is no sales tax on them if they are intended for a solar installation!

Can't say for this year, but last year the rv parts place in the fortuna foothills (east yuma) had the t105re's for $130ish. I'll call them tomorrow and let you know. The RE's are supposed to have thicker plates than the plain jane t105's.

Sam's Club in Yuma, worth an extra hour? Costco over CA border is two hours. Could be 30-40% savings for close to just as good?
