If you went to a fast food restaurant and you knew there was ONE employee spitting  on the food while their coworkers stood by...would you still eat there?

Nope.

A bad apple can happen to anyone. But other employees sitting by while it rots leads me to think that there are likely other questionable things about that restaurant's practices.

Just curious - what brought this question on?

It's a given that that (or worse) happens in every restaurant , That said  if I saw or new for a fact I'd make a seen (again) , and I don't send food back I just walk out !
Short answer NO

Just a comparative/metaphor with some of the issues our society is currently having. If folks wouldn't tolerate outlandish behaviour like that in a restaurant why would they in other more critical fields? (cough cough)

I don't frequent restaurants much. If I do, I don't act obnoxiously, as not to trigger the spitting people.
