They are kind of light on fuses. There has to be catastrophic fuses installed close to the battery. Within 7 inches is best. These protect the cables leading to inverters, chargers, and distribution fuse panels.

it also appears they have bonded the ground and neutral on the AC side, big no,no. this is being discussed on another thread. highdesertranger

You're supposed to bond neutral to ground in the panel/source when talking AC voltage. It's right in the NEC code book, the only time this would be true is if it was in an AC subpanel.

"You're supposed to bond neutral to ground". NOT EVER on a vehicle. the code you are referring to is for a house not mobile. if you do it on a vehicle you are running the risk of electrocution. bonding neutral to ground on a vehicle is bad advice at best, dangerous at worse. EVERYBODY HEED THIS NEVER BOND THE NEUTRAL TO GROUND ON A VEHICLE. highdesertranger

go to the link that John posted it explains it well. highdesertranger

I am in the trades for a living, I do plumbing/HVAC, I discussed this with electricians on jobs before in the past. I guess its time I educate them on RV wiring, I was also going by the photo I posted which I have read on several RV websites. Sorry if I came across as a "know-it-all"

no need to apologize, it's a common mistake. what's important is you are willing to learn. you didn't come across as a know it all you just stated what you knew from houses, which was true. highdesertranger

And most sparkies aren't up on marine/auto/RV DC is its own speciality.

Challenge is these intersection areas.
