Looks like the application TUNEIN is offering audiobooks with their premium $8 month subscription. This is a much better price than AUDIBLE which was $14 a month last I checked. Plus AUDIBLE has sports radio. Just an interesting alternative if you can afford it.

Do you have a Library Card ?   In my state of Ohio I can allowed to have one to the Library at the State Capital
of Columbus.  There I can go into the Library Website and access the online medias such as Zinio, (magazines and their content) Overdrive, (eBooks) Flix, (movies & music) and Ebsco, (more scholarly magazines and consumer oriented stuff)  And it's all free.

You might want to check out your home states Public Library system.  It's amazing what all is in their websites
that's free.

That's what I do!

I have a library card from my legal residence town. I just have to pop in once every 2 years to the library to renew it because the town library has a renewal system in place.

I don't use it for anything but ebook borrowing but I can access it from anywhere I have internet connection, reserve, borrow and search through something like 52,000 titles. They also have audiobooks and movies but I don't bother with them.

The settings can be adjusted on my account for either a 7 or 14 day borrowing period and I can borrow up to 10 books. I also can reserve books that are already out on loan and they'll notify me when it's my turn. I also keep a 'wish' list of what I'd like to read so that when I need reading material I don't have to go searching, although searching through the lists can be fun too.

I transfer them to my Sony Ereader but they can also be read directly on my laptop or on a tablet.

If you don't have a library card right now and are on the road, maybe you can borrow the use of one from a friend or the kid!! All you really need is the account code from an active card.
