Instead of the egg rings I ordered, WalMart sent me a Helmsman Extension Handle for Outboard Motors and trolling Motors. S model, extends from 36" to 51".

they don't want me to send it back, so if you can use it, it's yours!

(Looks like it would make a mighty fine back scratcher.)

What does it fit? or is it some type of universal? some poor guy is trying to troll with egg rings, LOL. highdesertranger

I know nothing about such things.

It's about an inch in diameter, made of "marine materials" (black-powder-coated aluminum would be my guess)  and looks to be reasonably sturdy. If you needed some kind  of telescoping handle for anything, I think it could be repurposed - one end has a plastic gizmo meant for tightening it down on whatever you are attaching it to.

the customer rep and I had a pretty good laugh about the poor guy who wanted to go fishing this weekend.

Save it to use as a Burglar Beater?

I don't think it's heavy-duty enough. But I do have a hickory walking stick!

I keep looking at it wondering how I could repurpose it. Best I can come up with is a (short) extending flag pole. Maybe embed the base in a little redi-mix in a flower pot...  But would that be worth carting around in my van? the jury is still out...

I suspect I will drop it off at some thrift store when I leave here. probably end of March. Until then, if you want it, it's yours.

I have an outboard motor on a boat in KY. I
Might be able to use it. If not you can come to ky and I’ll drop you and the boat in the river and you can use it yourself.

It's interesting that they didn't want to pay return shipping on a $40 item.

I'll be happy to drop it by!

I will (hopefully) be visiting YARC camp next week while Abnorm builds my rooftop solar. Or the next time Ravella offers me bread...

I love riding in boats, but my experience operating them is limited and underfed.

During the Xmas shipping frenzy I received a gallon of hydrogen peroxide I didn't order.

The price on Amazon is only $9 so I didn't even bother asking them if they wanted it back.
