Thx Snow Gypsy

I've seen those rigs before just didn't know what they were called.

Are you having problems figuring out how to add pics to a post?

I can't tell you where to go but you must have a bucket list???????
I don't remember if you told us where you are......

I didn't really read through the instructions on adding photos. Maybe if I can get some better shots later, I'll give it a try. It has been raining for days now.

I bought a '96 Dodge B2500 short van in May 2016 and launched full-time a month later. Since then, I've been a month on, month off exploring relationship possibilities with someone who's not at all interested in a nomadic lifestyle. Now that that's settled, I'm full time and figuring it out as I go. Frankly, it's harder than i thought. I sometimes feel elated to be as I am (when things are reasonably comfortable and when I still have some money left over at the end of a month), while other times i wrestle with questions about my sanity for being as I am (when things aren't so comfortable and/or I have too much month leftover at the end of the money - LOL!)

I've road tripped for months at a time for years out of a 2003 Chevy Express Van. Right now I have a S&B i'm remodeling. I bought it to flip, then thought i'd keep it, but now back to the flipping it idea. Started this September and have been living in my travel trailer while doing it. The house is now livable and I've remained in the trailer because I actually like it better. Even in the Maine winter! However, I am cheating a little because I have electric hookup and I can use the bathroom in the house.

Planning on selling the house this summer and going to start converting a trailer this spring. I also own a vacation home with family and that's currently up for sale as well. Cashing in all my chips and enjoying the road for a bit. I do plan on buying another piece of land at some point in the future though.

I'm still in a S&B full time as that is what the wife likes, and I'm still kind of fond of her. Besides, who else would put up with me for all of these years? I do travel quite a bit though, sometimes for work and sometimes for fun. I have a cargo trailer conversion I can tow with whatever my current work truck at the time happens to be. But just as often I'm backpacking or taking a trip on my motorcycle. And sometimes when the wife is along I even spend a night or two in a hotel - the horror! All together I spend on average 1 1/2 to 2 months a year away from the S&B. Hopefully as time goes on I can extend that to 4 months or so, much of it in the winter.

BTW vangrrl57, I didn't know you were in Sioux Falls. I just drove by there Monday on the way back to Colorado from Fargo. Next time through I'll have to stop and buy you a cup of coffee.

I am all over now. Living in the van and loving it. Had a few cold nights so far this winter though.

I'm still in a S&B but just rearranged work so I should be able to travel more. A friend is interested in buying my house so if I ever get up the nerve and commit to full-timing, that won't tie me down. But it is scary to not have a home base.
