I have a KLR 650 riceburner, practical to the point of being the only motorcycle ever made that women don't ask for rides on.

sure...I know KLR's. I actually have a friend who has one that I'm trying to get offa him. (I think it'd be the perfect bike to hang off the bumper as a 'dingy' for my road trips...plus I could go exploring the off-roads with it too.)

KLR's...the one bike that does it all! (but doesn't do any of them particularly well!) :D

I'm actually not one of those Harley zealots...I'm very well aquainted with ALL brands of motorcycles. (see earlier post #18) I've also got 3 Yamaha's and 2 Hondas in my garage right now. If it's got a motor and handlebars...I'm all over it!!

I love your point about the womens though!!! :p

Okay, I'll chime in. Am I normal? Well, let's take stock of my life. I don't have 2.3 kids screaming and crying all day and night, don't have a house with white picket fence to pay a crazy mortgage I can't afford, don't have nagging wife driving me to early grave, don't have inlaws I can't stand, don't have huge home equity loans and debts to maintain that eat up what little paycheck is left, etc, ad nauseum. Did I miss anything?? :D If being normal means to have the above in my life, then h#ll no, I don't want to be normal. :p I want to be as abnormal as possible!

Patrick...Nice scoot. Dem hangers would would kill my shoulders. I prefer a lower 6 bend pullback...kick back and cruise. I got nearly 2 yrs on a Yamaha Heritage 1100 as of 5/1988. Loved it :)
Always figured you as anything but normal :D

Casey, my friend....You can bet you ain't normal by any stretch of the imagination :D

Nobody is "normal". Everyone has some kind of weird circumstance in their life, they just don't advertise it. Van dwellers advertise their uniqueness by living in a van, but other than that, the van dwellers are some of the most down to earth people I've met.

Christine....I have to agree. We have met several from this group and others who are great folks, and about as down to earth as you could ask for. Now, as vandwellers ourselves, we are proud to be counted in the vast van lifestyle community.

I think everyone is weird...
We should all celebrate our individuality and not be embarrassed or ashamed of it!
