When we lived in Maryland, we lived right down the road from an apple orchard. They made so many things.......apple cider, pies, turnovers, cobblers, ect. I love a good apple crisp.......or baked apples.

I had my choice at the store between Apple turnovers or pineapple. I went for the pineapple. This grocery store has a Latino following and great pastries and meats for the charcoal grill!

...What is your favorite apple thing?
.
For a single person:
Dehydrate, munch throughout the day in the truck.
Dehydrate, add to smoothies.
Dehydrate, dice and sprinkle over coconut 'ice-cream' frozen dessert.
Dehydrate, dice and add to stews and curries.
Slice, lay on BBQ grill.
.
As a community get-together:
Squeeze and freeze the juice.
Cider.

Sort rotters and buggies, engage in hysterical Dodge-Ball!

I do make lots of apple chips (dehydrated apples) they pack in my lunches either in the van or at work. I hadn't thought about adding them to smoothies.
I dried some and then ground them down to powder once not really something I used but I'm sure that would work for smoothies..... I like my apple chips in my homemade granola too
