I've been making yearly goals and then tracking my completion for the last 5 or so years. I'm in the process of drafting my goals for 2017. Here is my current draft. I'm sure I'll change some things as these are really my initial thoughts. I need to quantify some goals, adjust dates, and then probably do some prioritization (eliminate some)
(All of these represent an improvement compared to where I currently am on them)
FITNESS/HEALTH
Cardio-Vascular - Run <6:30 mile by July
Fat: <10mm by end of March (I use a caliper and measure at a certain spot on the side of my stomach, ~2" above the top/front of my hip bone)
Strength: __(?) pullups (Pronated grip, hands 6" wider than shoulder width, medium, controlled speed)
__ 1 leg, free standing squats (?) (I don't work out at gyms so I can't just use Squat X lbs)
(Actions: continue regular exercise wherever I am (I tend to do less in cities). Start full strength training regimin in January. Document all exercise)
FINANCIAL
Spending - Spend < Income (Dividends, Pension growth, hobby income)
Increase Hobby Income:
- Current/old source: INcrease to >$150/month by April
- Blog Income >$50/month by November
- Start some form of Photography income(?)
CREATIVE OUTPUT
Writing:
__(?) blog posts by November
___(?) blog traffic by ____
Photography :
- Start sharing photos somewhere more objective. (Where? 500pix? A sales site?)
- Try to sell prints?
INNER HAPPINESS STUFF
Meditation - start regular practice by April
Lucid Dreaming - Get to 2 or more per week by August
Core Life Values - decide/capture them by __, then re-evaluate 2017 goals
