Does anyone know of any good web sites for buying an older, low priced, used, Class A RV other than rvtraider.com and Craigslist? I have had several leads, but was just not quick enough. They were already sold.

Not highly reliable and not the web (which can be just not as good as in person upfront) but worth a try : go to the library and go through the local papers, make sure you pick up those free papers around town (Big Nickel, Dandy Dime, name depends on your area), also check any bulletin boards that let people post items for sale, possibly radio call in shows buy/sell, I have also had people come to the door and ask if our trailer/pop-up/motorhome might be for sale. The local RV park let's people post RVs for sale on their bulletin board and sometimes has them out front.

I live in the boonies so my way of doing things might not work for others. I think that "RV wanted" is useful because some people, and I don't blame them, don't like going through advertising, fielding calls and putting up with people that like to come just to look or make a steal of a deal.

Good luck in your search.

I recently bought one that was listed on both RBVTrader and craigslist, and you're right about being quick - if it's priced right, it will be gone in 48 hours.  I was extremely lucky.  It hit the dealer's lot on Tuesday, was listed on Wednesday, I drove to see it on Thursday morning and he already had five phone offers (I peeked at the notes on his desk).
If I were still looking and had cash in hand I'd drive around looking for ones I like and just stop and ask the owner if they've considered selling.  Odds are there are a dozen people within twenty miles of you that have an older rig out back that they don't use as much as they'd like but haven't gotten around to selling it.  It doesn't hurt to ask.

Class A seems like a diesel pusher is what people want.  If I come across something I'll post back ...

Peace

Good Question but i think Craigslist, RVT and RV Trader are the only "good" online site.

So far I've only found Craigslist and RVTraider to be good sites. RVT is OK if you are looking for higher priced RV's. But I'm looking for an older one with low miles for under $10,000.00. For that my best luck has been with Craigslist and RVTraider. But thanks for the come back.
