Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know. If you do not need a campground you can make a lot more money working at Amazon locations.

Here in NE Pennsylvania Amazon warehouses are paying 16.50 an hour plus ot. They also give a 100 dollar sign on bonus.

Just thought I would let you guys know. I'm sure Amazon does this all over the country not just PA.

Thanks,
Jaco

Should of added these jobs are through temp agencies. And just seasonal.

I got hired on in San Marcos, but had to withdrawal as I just relocated back to Missouri for a month. It was nice to find that you don't have to do the camper force deal, which I'm sure is nice, but having more options is always good for everyone.

Yeah, if you're setup for stealth no reason to loose 5 or 6 bucks an hour.

If you have a good work ethic and can physically do the demanding work, don't need a campsite, then it does make great sense to go the temp seasonal work route. The difference between the two employment methods, besides the campsites, is that the camperforce personnel will never get let go unless they steal or just don't show up. The Temp/seasonal personnel really do have to meet the quotas and if you are not in good shape those quotas can be hard to meet.

Jaco, can you explain a bit more about what exactly is better about not needing a campsite, etc?  The two different employment methods, results in pay, etc?

Thanks,

Hey Vegabound,

I cannot give you much detail besides what I heard on the radio for the past month. I keep catching the ad on my way to work.

It just got me thinking Amazon has locations all over the country not just the few they offer for their camperforce. So if you did not need the amenities a campground offers and can stealth camp. Why take 10.50 an hour when you can make 16.50 an hour.

I started hearing the ads for the Allentown, PA location then they started advertising for Hazelton, PA.

Next Fall I plan to be on the road so this is the route I plan on going.

From what StarEcho said. Temps have it harder with the quota's compared to the camperforce workers.

OK, I understand better now.  So, I guess the ad said "no campground provided" or something along those lines?

If anyone can shed more light on the quota topic, I'd be interested to learn more.

The ads said nothing about campgrounds or anything like that. These jobs are through temp agencies and just through the holiday seasons.
