I started thinking about it until I saw the price.

You will need to attached cold water. You could buy a lot of ice for that kind of money. If you sew, or know someone that does, make a vest with interior pockets the size of the gel packs that you can get at the dollar store and put in the freezer. You could put the gel packs in an ice cooler if you don't have a freezer. Get the gel packs cold and put them in the multiple pockets of your cooling vest. Same basic thing as the product you listed, except you don't have to carry around that little cooler thing and a 12 volt pump.....and it is much, much cheaper.

Redneck cooling shirt. Dip your t-shirt in the water in the ice chest....lightly wring and put it on. Repeat as necessary. If it's really hot, dip your hat too.

Just get used to it or leave, hot/cold it's all the same creates discomfort,,, and it's all in the mind.
