Hi I’m looking for tips on living in a camper van! I’m pretty excited to save money in the long run and I’m glad I found a group to talk to people about this

The more we know about you the better the tips will be. Location, funds, amount of space you need, how mechanical you are, do you have the skills to make modifications, will you boondock or stay with full hook ups, how far and often do you plan to travel and where as well of the time of the year, any others with you even pets matter, what type of vehicle do you have and what type of transportation works for you? Welcome, answer our questions so we can answer yours!

Tips on what?

I really don't mean to sound terse that is not my intent. But it would be much better if you asked some specific questions.

Also please go over to the "Newcomers Corner" and give us an intro.

the first thing I wanna know is - how often do you go camping now? Because living in a van is a lot more like living in a weather-proof tent than it is like living in a studio apartment with wheels. If you're not happy camping in a tent, you could well be unhappy living in a van.

I definitely came as much as I can, it’s something I love to do ! I’m looking to spend some time in the van doing some road trips and also staying close to work

Important tips

Don’t eat yellow snow

Use the metal part of your seatbelt to open your beer while driving

Use your laptop charger to heat up your food

Save time by adding your toothpaste to your food

If your heater isn’t working run a hose from your muffler into your window

Shopping carts can always be used as a grill

Always keep jalapeños on hand to rub your eyes with so you won’t fall asleep while driving.
