Late yesterday evening I must've dozed off. Next thing I knew it was 3:00am and the police were knocking on my bus. Checked my ID, politely told me there was a town ordinance against sleeping there, and told me that the local Walmart didn't call them to roust overnighters since it was "out of season." (FYI-Gulf Shores, AL)

Think I should get a tattoo to commemorate my very first dealings with the PoPo? lol

Congrats I guess? This is one milestone i wish to never encounter

It is always tourist season here in Orlando. If it wasn't for the upcoming heat/humidity, I think it would be a good place to do all year long. Not that I want to stay in one place, just that it seems possible.

Lifes an adventure if lived right....congrats!!!

Cheri I'm new here had not seen you till today.....went back and read your story from the beginning and through the purchase of the airport van.....I'm so jealous, never thought of that one.

How have things been going what have you done?

I'm just getting ready to hit the road...I have a 1946 Spartan Trailer that I'm redoing, but after finding this site.....I'm wondering if that is the right way to go....lol

I love tatoos, but be forewarned, they can become addictive!! I got my third one to celebrate my 10th year as a vandweller.

Don't do it on impulse though, it is a life-long decision.
Bob

To date I only have one tattoo and it's located in an "invitation only" location It's a colored dragonfly that I got last year for my 50th birthday. I'm seriously considering another though!

papas34 - Welcome! I'm relatively new myself. Lurked and learned for a long time and then took the plunge! You'll love it here, everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Ya only turn 50 once, but with a tattoo you can celebrate every day

CrossCountryGal, YAY for having a pleasant experience with them! I've always had a pleasant experience so far as well! Plus, that sounds like a great way to remember your 50th birthday!

akrvbob, we are still women, even if we are wives and mothers! Being a wife and a mother doesn't take away our sexuality, our bodies or ourselves

With Love,
Tara

It was a pleasant experience<img src="/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle"> Bob-I am moseying through Florida now and need to stay on the east coast until 2/22 for my sons graduation from Marines boot camp. I'd like to mosey my way west in the fall and look forward to meeting everyone!

FL Wal*Marts are great for spending time in. Most allow overnighters. Also, many FL rest stops are safe, well lit and have security. Truck Stops are also great, especially if you have no shower on board. This info goes for GA also. You may want to spend the winter in FL where it's warm. Go west in the spring.
