Talked to one of my good friends tonite that moved away years ago, but we still catch up a few times a year.  He knows I'm always buying/selling vehicles so he mentioned his Dad has a 99 E350 box truck he wants to sell.  Said he'd sell it to me for $1000 bucks.  He didn't have any details other than his Dad sold some stuff and got this as partial payment in the deal.  And that the title is now in his Dad's name and it's a 1999. He said his Dad said it's a clean well running van.  Wasn't even sure of miles, i'm gonna call his Dad tomorrow to get more info.

Quick look online and it seems like any box truck that is running is worth at least $2500.  So barring any crazy unforeseen circumstances I think I'll buy it.  Hoping the plug issues were already taken care of by a previous owner.  If nothing else, I'll use if for a bit and then sell it if it's not something I want to sink a bunch of money into converting.  It's always nice having a box truck around to move things.  It does have a side door which is an added bonus.

I'd buy that for a grand sight unseen.

Matt,

Wow. I agree on your value estimates and a thousand bucks is an amazing deal if the truck runs. I will say that it's really obvious that the truck has been hiding in the New England woods. Black. Really? Can you imagine that thing in the deserts of the southwest?

Buy it. We'll be box truck brothers. Is a little bit like blood brothers, but with scheduled maintenance. ;-)
