It has translucent yellow fiber glass that is currently not leaking and owner claims it has never leaked.

1. Is there any kind of sealant that will prevent leaks and prolong life of the fiberglass for years to come.

2. I plan on using polyiso for insulation. Is there any thing I can do from the inside to further protect against leaks and cracks.

I go to look at it tomorrow any and all advice welcome and appreciated.

I have personally not had to deal with this. But friends have. One of them used the flex-seal, one used the spray on bedliner material (Had it done). If you want to protect the outside fiberglass from the weather..cheaply...easily then I recommend waxing it. This is done simply my mopping on with sponge mop (wrapped in microfiber towel. Applied full strength. And....the "secret product is......ZEP brand Wet Look Floor Polish. Just apply it straight on..may have to apply more than one coat. One 1 gallon bottle is $25 at Lowe's Hardware. Now...if you want to find leaks then have them spray the roof with water and then go check inside. If at night you can put light inside and then go up top to look for any light coming through. Hope this helps. #BeABlessing

Can you cut through the roof after it has had bedliner applied to install a fan or ac I wonder.

OR is translucent fiberglass so fragile you cannot cut or install any thing on it to begin with.

It is not translucent fiberglass but it is missing it's hard shiny coating on the roof. So that will have to be repaired or replaced.

So excited.

If you cut through a fiberglass top, it will be brittle. Make sure your tool is sharp and go slow with slow speed. Heat will cause the fiberglass to expand quickly and crack. Anything you mount in the roof, bed it first with butyl tape. Make your cuts, and bed everything in. Cover joints, seams, or cracks with elastomeric repair fabric and seal the roof with an elastomeric coating. You could use rubber RV roof coat and lay it on thick. Whatever you seal the roof with clean it very good, rough it up with a red scotch bright pad, and wipe it down with denatured alcohol. I use Henery brand coating and fabric to seal roofs.
