I'm looking into buying some unisolar flexible 24v panels to charge a 12v battery bank. As I understand it, I'll need an MPPT charge controller. I see some that are $500+ and others that are under $200. What is the difference? What's the least I can spend for an MPPT that will let me use 24v panels to charge a 12v bank?

You can use VHB tape under that panel or under the mounts for a MUCH lower priced framed panel. They also make glue down mounts for framed panels.

My roof is curved so I don't know if I can mount a non-flexible panel. How do those glue brackets hold the panel in place?

Disregard. My roof is flatter than I thought. Looks like I'll be able to go with the rigid panels.
