I saw this little gem in Amarillo while boondocking/riding the other day...it looks lonely like a little puppy at the dogpound...

It wants OUT!

I agree with the others that very soon you will need to be on high alert to watch out for the flood vehicles that will be on the market soon. They will show up for sale in places that don't see hurricanes so as to make it harder to spot them. I would definitely be staying away from any salvage titles.

It's funny ... the GMC Savana 2500 gets almost as good gas mileage as some of the minivans/wagons.

These big vans are fairly easy on the wallet. My Ford E-250 with the 4.6L small V8 gets around 13-15 mpg in town and between 18 and 20 mpg on the highway. My last long trip (1950 miles) I saw 18.5 mpg average even pulling a small motorcycle trailer thru the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming.

This is measured with a calibrated OBD2 Scangauge AND calculations at the pump.

Of course I'm not a 'leadfoot' and I'm easy on the throttle most of the time.

BTW the Chevy van in my pictures above has the 4.8L engine.
