2002 Dodge Ram Van, 3/4 Ton, 5.2L 318 engine, 64,527 miles, new tires, $5200

I plan to do stealth parking in cities (I'm an urban person) so a windowed van with black covering on the windows is preferable to me. I also wish to drive cross country at times.

Is the mileage too low for a 10+ year old vehicle?

Oh...that's a great van...I'd grab it. Make sure you get it checked with a mechanic. Do a search on problems for that year and model of Dodge. In the past, Tranny's were weak spots for Dodge's.

Rae

lower mileage is preferable, to a point. You dont necessarily want one that has sat unused for long periods, but light use over the years is fine, even an advantage. Who is selling it ( ie- what was it used for, how well was it maintained, etc) . It looks to be in fine shape, and with a little homework on your part, could be a sweet deal indeed.

It might have been a church van. That could explain the relatively low mileage.

Even if it wasn't, you could heighten your I'm-harmless-so-leave-me-alone stealthiness by putting the name of a church on the sides. Something like First Immaculate Church of the Holy Wandering Soul.
