I get emails from Solarblvd even though I have never purchased from them until now. I bought one for three reasons. First Bob asked me to give the seminar on solar at the next RTR and I wanted to have a example for it. Second I will pick up one of the inexpensive 20a MPPT controllers I have used for 5 years to show how much more can be had. Lastly I can use it to keep the trucks battery up when I sit for long periods. I left the key on overnight and drained it last week...Oops.

The cost was $219 with shipping. The controller with it has temp sense and Voltage sense. I did not get the optional carring case for $25.

Even though I have never bought from them, I do know of a number of people that have and been happy. They have great sales including one now with 280w panels for $86 each if you buy a pallet. A group of people could get their solar really cheap that way.

I'll report as soon as it is in.

Pretty cool, I can see that being enough for a lot of folks

thanks for heads up.

My friend for whom I built the powerpack consisting of a Lifeline gpl-31XT, PD9245, and 400 watt inverter with all sorts of other hooks ups has been wanting me to sort out some sort of solar input. I forwarded him the link. If he buys it I will likely be the one to set it up.

are the 280w portable folding? and how many in a pallet?

I bought 2 x 140 watt panels from Solar Blvd. Shipping was fast and the panels arrived securely boxed. They put out close to the advertised amps, as close as I can see. I'd purchase from them again.

Interesting .
Looking forward to more reviews.

Jeeze Jim
Couldn't you just jump it direct off the panels????

I could but I am not sure the truck would like 205v

I was just kidding , still there might be a way.......hmmmmmmmmm

Jim are you shooting for your own power plant. how many watts will that bring your total to? btw the way Scout said to say hi to Max. highdesertranger

1345w but who's counting. ;)

See there is this you tuber that has panels all over her RV and just bought a shiny new 260w to hang off the back end. Max refused to even look at me until I upped my game. He said howdy back now that he can show his face in public again.

Even though organizing it is a bitc&, a group buy of a pallet would be sweet. I'll bet they would resell quickly at the next RTR...

You would need someone to pick them up at their warehouse to avoid shipping. I think they have two now but could be mistaken.

Jim, can we get an update on this?   I am looking at getting one for our sailboat if your report indicates it is a decent value and quality.

Mine took a few days to Cottonwood and is waiting for me to pick it up on the way to the Flagstaff area. I'll probably start heading down later today if the trails dry up some.

I think if you look on RV.net you could find some that bought them or at least from SolarBlvd.com and were happy.

IGBT,
I have two panels from solarblvd. They came sturdily packed and very quickly. When I called with a question, they immediately connected me with tech support (here in the US with understandable, unaccented English). I was even able to email a picture of my question and he'd got back to me within 5 minutes He even offered to send me a video after he would make me one on the spot.

The panels appear to push out the full amperage as stated in the website. I'd buy from then again.
