I am a minimalist and enjoy solving technical problems us minimum materials at the lowest cost.

This $100 Elevator is one of my best inventions:

The elevator is based on 3 items:  A harbor Freight electric winch, a 3/4" pipe clamp mechanism, and a 21 foot length of 3/4" black pipe.

I ride on a platform attached to the pipe clamp and that is lifted by the cable winch.

The little part without the handle.  If the cable breaks, the clamp will automatically brake with 950 lb of force,
