Just wondering where you would go to constantly fill tanks without having to stay at an overnight rv park?

You mean the water and air machines there where you put in quarters?

RV dump stations often have water

http://rvdumpsites.net/ (courtesy of our friends at freecampsites.net aka hitek homeless)

I fill my friends tanks often. At my house with municipal water. Be sure the source is potable water.

Dunno where ya live but, where I hang out, most gas stations have a water tap mounted on the outside. ..Willy.

yes they do. or you can invest in a frost free valve handle and rely on stealth.

City parks, county parks, and state parks all have potable water.

I fulltime on the city streets in Canada, year round. I usually fill up my water tanks at local businesses after they close or after dark. Bring your own hose. I find this much more acceptable. Why fill up at a busy gas station trying to move your rig around in a busy lot looking for the water tap that a million people have touched and or stuck the hose in their radiator.
I move once a week like a ritual. Commercial or industrial or strip malls, warehouses all have water taps. Most are rarely shut off in winter, and amazingly, most of the outside taps aren't frozen either(winter). Bring a small propane plumbers torch with you in the cold months. They come in handy for other things that freeze in winter too. I also run the tap for a minute to clean out any crud that may be in there.
Now you can shower and drink as much coffee as you want. NO BIG DEAL. Simple.
All the above mentioned are acceptable too, but I guess I'm picky.

EDITED!!!

P.S. I never get my water adjacent to sani dumps or gas stations, possible contamination in water.

"AND "NEVER" DUMP YOUR SH#T ON THE STREETS ANYWHERE ANYTIME!!!! PERIOD!!!!

hope this was informative?

"If you are wondering how I get rid of my grey water. I have made an easy modification to my dump valve cap for my grey and black water. I have a hose perminently mounted to the underside of my rig. I hook it up to the cap with flush feature and un roll the hose into the bushes and open my grey water valve. I typically do this at night. It all happens quickly too. So nobody sees what you are doing. Everything has its place and is made to be cheap easy and efficient."

keep a savings account for the fine when you are finally caught.

yes buster you are asking for trouble. here in kalifornia if you get caught doing this there will be a fine. the forest circus has picked up on this, in many nf they state you are not allowed to dump any gray water even if it's only a pot full. this will only spread. beside posting this on a public forum gives us all a bad name. highdesertranger

I once saw a deer defecating in nature. I was outraged, so I shot it in the face. Justice served.

poluting deer and cows are a menice. what should we dabout them?

I know you guys might think this is funny but in Siskiyou national forest the ranger came into my camp to make sure I had black and gray water containment, and this same forest district tells you to piss in the river not on land. go figure. highdesertranger

two legged tall skinny cows are a menice. all rangers have a shelf destruct button for when they pass away. So their is nothing left of them, and a balloon attached to float their remains into space.

We've stopped into RV dealers to ask where a dump/water site is and been invited to use theirs at no cost. They usually say to remember them when we're ready to trade.
We also look online...g00gle shows several websites under rv dump sites.
Many city dumps/fairgrounds usually go for $3-5, some free. Pilot/flyingJ is $5 with their club card. RV parks usually $10 for dump and water if you're not staying.
When in the boonies, we shower and do dishes outside if possible since our gray tank is smaller than the black, which can go up to 12 days for us....especially if we can go out to pee.

Once in a small town, I asked at a little store where there was a dump. The guy said he dumps his in the sewer cleanout pipe on the side of the building...."help your self, just keep it clean", says he.
