    Wiring shuttle busses and ceilings

Generally speaking, what are people doing with their fiberglass shuttle buses lighting wise and what do we have to work with in regards to the ceilings. Like  how much recessed room can i anticipate is up there underneath the stock fabric ceiling? I can provide pics later, its just some fabric...

Value of the surplus shuttle seats?

I'm selling off the surplus shuttlebus seats.  Total seating capacity was 12 plus two handicap locations in the back of the bus.  Probably selling too cheaply but I don't need these seats even if in good shape.  I threw them on Facebook marketplace for 25$ per set of two.  Any thoughts? In...

    Wheelchair lift issues.

Appreciated, yes it was idling.  Maybe generating enough voltage but the amps were too low?  But an Idling car will charge a battery given time, and I would think that between the bus idling and the battery the lift should of responded.

    Wheelchair lift issues.

Not sure what happened.  Will have to type all that again, sigh. I have an E450 Super Duty cutaway with a starcraft shuttlebus body on it.   6.8L Gasoline engine 2003. Anyway, I suspect there is something wrong with my wheelchair lift circuit.  I replaced the 12.18 volt output obviously worn...

harbor freight tailgator for battery charging

Yes, yes I know.  the fulltime RV and van residers prefer solar power especially in places like Arizona.  I'm not in Arizona, I'm along the VA/WV border and winter is approaching.  I'm also not living out my new to me 2003 Ford E450 shuttlebus I bought recently. There is an auxiliary battery...

    Extended range wifi adapter

Anyone using a usb wifi adapter with antennas to extend their range for accessing wifi in Lowes/Coffee shop parking lots?  That way you don't have to be right up against the building  I'm not talking about a booster. I want to know what wifi adapters people have found that work well.  I used to...

Request advice, Crown Vic and Trailer

Have you seen the prices on 'proper tow vehicles' lately? I can't afford that level of expensive, even though my salary is approx 50k

Request advice, Crown Vic and Trailer

It's a 2007, but from the Ford Forums I've been reading, Ford is full of absolute crap with that low tow rating, and I've seen youtube videos that imply the same. Some refer to the Crown Vic as a Ford F150 in car shape...

Request advice, Crown Vic and Trailer

Hi everyone, hoping I can get some advice here. I don't plan on living in a van , car, rv full time.. but I am seriously consider modifying my Crown Vic so it can pull a Cargo Trailer (modified to a semi stealth camper).   Crown Vic:  8 cylinder , 4.6 liter with 220k miles but the engine runs...

    Pretty Disappointed (Van Pricing)

I'm fortunate enough to make a decent amount of money (53k) and would really like to get a Van for travel and part-time living.  I scoured around on Cargurus and a few other sites and was shocked at how expensive vans have gotten.  I liked the looks of the Ford Transits with at least a medium...

    GasOne GS-3400P Stove

I just got one of these off of Amazon, and tested it out.  I'm not a van dweller, but I think this would be a very nice burner to use on the road for cooking.  Cost me $40 and comes with the hose you'll need to go to a propane tank.  If you have a 20 lb tank and hose adapter for your buddy...

I finally got a van and it's an ex-FBI spy van with a periscope!

I used to drive one of those periscope vans as a private investigator, with the desk mounted in place and a seat in the back too. I would think though that all that stuff takes up too much room for Van life?

    Land in Monroe County WV

Friendly group of people. Yes, I'm familiar with McCoy (outside of Blacksburg). Actually I was surprised at how remote it is to get to McCoy. Before all the virus nonsense it used to be a very popular place to go tubing along the New River. I think when van dwellers have their van jamborees...

Who here rents a driveway for nightly use?

I don't have a residential "driveway" available. I do have land along the VA/WV border which we could discuss you parking on. There's a nearby newly built fireplace. Are you any good with a hammer and building sheds? I'd like to have a shed on my place, and can furnish the lumber and tools...

    Land in Monroe County WV

I tossed something up on Boondocker's, not sure if anyone will be interested or not.  I don't have a an electric hookup on the property this would be more of a primitive camping type scenario.  Just thought I'd make the offer.

    Land in Monroe County WV

Probably should of mentioned the location in more detail. Lindside WV. The biggest town in the area is Pearisburg VA with a Walmart. The Appalachian trail is nearby and hikers are common during warmer weather. There are Wifi options in the area such as burger king, and possibly making use of...

    Land in Monroe County WV

I'm new to the forum, and live on the east coast.   I'm not in a position to go mobile but I respect the movement. I have land in Monroe County WV and it's just sitting there.  Approximately 40 acres all told... one section has a good place to camp and park.  Cell reception is spotty from the...
