Tow our TT to New Mexico

In case anyone was interested, we got off the mountain last Saturday, by accepting a Uship bid. It was a $600 bid,+ ~$50 transaction fee from Uship, and then we tipped the driver upon arrival at our destination, because he did a great job at a low/fair price. I would definitely recommend him as...

    My web project - rvportal.net

I think it's a good start, certainly, that many people starting out could find very helpful. I like that you offer to include site link recommendations. As i clean up my own bookmark chaos, i will certainly contact you with some recommendations, as a diy'er who rebuilt our own travel trailer...

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@JDGumbee we appreciate the offer, but have to decline. Running the SUV that far and then having to go get it again just adds more problems in a different direction in this weather. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Tow our TT to New Mexico

We decided to cancel uhaul, as trying to wire up actual truck brake is beyond our capability. Apparently when he wired our suv, that step was done by a friend who had a b1tch of a time with it. So we wait for funds so we can accept a uship bid. Patience and prayers. Sent from my SM-S327VL...

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@tx2sturgis No. We have a workamp position already set up. Nees the rv for that. And my partner has retail merch work waiting for him in NM. But we need both rv and vehicle. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@JDGumbee. That is exactly what we had planned. And will do. The job we came up the mountain to do, in order to buy a truck more fitting, got delayed by months now, which is why we are moving on. We need to get to NM to make money again so we can buy a truck. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@tx2sturgis "In my opinion, a local farmer or rancher (either in Colorado or New Mexico) with a dually diesel pickup who wants a few dollars for the adventure is a better option." Agreed. This was my hope, but tbh, we haven't been here long enough to find that person. 4 months in this region...

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@JDGumbee wow thanks! Very helpful. Yeah i just got off the phone with the auto guy/uhaul location and he said it's just a 4 pin with no plug n play brake controller option. So your instruction is useful, if we decide to keep the reservation. I handed your post over to Shawn, my partner, to...

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@cammalu good to know. We have been getting decent bids. Problem has been accepting said bids, since all money has to be in checking acct just to even accept the bid before it vanishes. Difficult when we aren't getting paid til Friday. Hand to mouth living sucks in this society. Sent from my...

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@JDGumbee that is a great idea. I should have thought about that a couple weeks ago, seeing as I've intimately known a couple truckers in my life, lol. If this Uhaul rental doesn't pan out on Saturday, i may do just that. Unsure how we will temp install brake controller in rental. Sent from...

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@cyndi yes i have a proposal in uship now. Just don't have enough funds in checking acct until later in week. They need full prepay upon bid acceptance, apparently, and bids disappear quickly. Frustrating. Gonna keep on there, though. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Tow our TT to New Mexico

@Van-Tramp yes i tried uhaul. They won't do that distance with a pickup, and they don't have brake controllers. Craigslist is some thing i am tracking next. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

Tow our TT to New Mexico

Looking for someone with a worthy vehicle to tow our functioning 5000# TT from Fairplay CO to Truth or Consequences NM. Our SUV isn't happy enough to tow right now, and we have a workamp position to start soon. Enterprise Truck Rental is making us jump through too many hoops to rent from them...
