    Solar on Bob’s van

Thanks. All the time seems like it’d be a potential hazard but that’s just me, he’s got the proof lol.

    Solar on Bob’s van

Has Bob done a video where he showed the solar install in his high top? Was just rewatching the vid where he put up the space blanket over the rear doors and was interested in how the panels appeared to maybe pull out to get that last one in. Thanks!

adding a continuous duty solenoid to existing system

I'm sorry, I'm not fluent enough in this stuff to follow all you said here. I mean, I got the last line, read the manual and talk to GZ which makes sense. Thanks

adding a continuous duty solenoid to existing system

Thanks. Yeah the kid that built it just bought the whole package, GoalZero and panels at REI. Definitely an expensive piece.

adding a continuous duty solenoid to existing system

I've got a handshake deal to buy a van that has 200W of solar panels, a goalzero yeti 1250 generator thing and the owner has added a second battery in parallel with the GoalZero, so the Yeti of course now thinks it's doubled in size. If I was to add a continuous duty solenoid (because we can go...

    Using a Briefcase/Folding Panel

Unsure of the type of batteries at this time to be totally honest. I would prefer AGM, but just when I think I've got that part figured out I'll read where FLA are better and I'll be off again. As to temps, generally typical New England weather, so...figure mostly 25 F and above, occasionally...

    Using a Briefcase/Folding Panel

So if I was to use a Renogy suitcase panel or two, as shown in one of Bob's vids, what do I do with the battery in the winter? I'm assuming it's not great to leave the batteries outside all day? Build a little box lined with some pink foam? Totally wiring the rig isn't probably going to...

    Champion Chevy Camper

Considering. Looked at it and drove it yesterday. For the money for what it is it seems decent. Lots of things I'd rather have but...I dunno.

    Champion Chevy Camper

Transtar is labeled and one source I found said they stopped production in 86 or 87 so I got confused by it. :)

    Champion Chevy Camper

Champion is badged just behind the wheel well toward the rear. Champion made RV's (mostly using Dodge chassis/power) and they made the "trans van" but I can't find any info on anything that looks like this one.

    Champion Chevy Camper

Apologies for the way I'm posting, but I've been a full day trying to post on this forum and not get a 404 error, so when it finally went through I wasn't prepared

    Champion Chevy Camper

Searching for information about a 1989 Champion built on a 1 ton (C30 was the 1 ton right?) Chevy van. DRW, etc. Odometer shows 59K. Google hasn't been much help, I just get Trans Vans which this does not appear to be in looks or badging.
