I've got a handshake deal to buy a van that has 200W of solar panels, a goalzero yeti 1250 generator thing and the owner has added a second battery in parallel with the GoalZero, so the Yeti of course now thinks it's doubled in size. If I was to add a continuous duty solenoid (because we can go for days without sun in the Northeast after all, etc), and I ran it all the way to the back (where the second battery is housed) and connect it to the second battery will it charge the second battery and the GoalZero without issue?

Thanks

Do not bypass the charge controller, and replace the ciggie plug with Anderson powerpole

Limited power, maybe 160 or 240W.

V has to go over 13.5?

Best to RTFM, check the website, google, tgen call them to confirm, don't want to fry that pricey sucker.

Thanks. Yeah the kid that built it just bought the whole package, GoalZero and panels at REI. Definitely an expensive piece.

I'm sorry, I'm not fluent enough in this stuff to follow all you said here. I mean, I got the last line, read the manual and talk to GZ which makes sense. Thanks

There may be a direct to battery connection. Do not charge through that. Use a port going to the controller like panels.

That will limit current and only allow voltage within their specs.
